Brussels, 25 September 2014. Mobistar has decided not to extend its partnership with the specialist store chain The Phone House, which became a subsidiary of Belgacom in 2012. The collaboration will end on the 1st of next October. Mobistar offers will consequently no longer be represented in The Phone House stores. They will remain available in Mobistar Centers and through a network of special partners.
Mobistar and The Phone House, a chain of stores that specialise in telecoms products, had been in partnership since 1998. Mobistar offers were represented in stores of the chain next to competing offers.
Since the takeover of The Phone House by Belgacom, and contrary to trends observed in other distribution channels, Mobistar has recorded a decrease in sales volumes in stores of the chain. Considering that the trade conditions offered by The Phone House no longer meet Mobistar's expectations, the company has decided not to extend the collaboration. The contract will therefore end on 30 September 2014. Mobistar offers will consequently no longer be offered in stores of the chain.
Mobistar has begun a programme aiming to transform its distribution network in order to better meets its clients' expectations and rededicate itself to its network of 150 Mobistar Centers and special partners (Carrefour and Media Markt), thanks to which it enables its customers and potential customers to enjoy an excellent quality of service.
