Euphony and Mobistar forge a closer partnership: Euphony launches the mobile telephony subscription with the lowest starting price

Antwerp/Brussels - 8 May 2006 - Euphony and Mobistar are building on the profitable cooperation they have nurtured over the past few years by developing a mobile telephony product specific to Euphony and earmarked for residential customers. EuLike-It is a product exclusively designed for Euphony, based on the quality of the Mobistar network and service. This partnership should allow Mobistar to increase its market share in this segment.

Exclusive product

Mobistar and Euphony have joined forces to come up with a new tariff plan, EuLike-It, which will allow Euphony to confirm its position as a mobile telephony retailer on behalf of Mobistar. The launch of the co-branding EuLike-It tariff fits in perfectly with the Euphony strategy. For this exclusive product, Euphony has been granted its own specific call prefix for the Mobistar customer service (5775) and a co-branding invoicing service with Mobistar.

Euphony is hence forging a closer partnership with Mobistar. "This year, we intend to consolidate our growth. For Euphony, this form of cooperation is today the best way of achieving this aim. We sat down with Mobistar to come up with a method of cooperation capable of guaranteeing healthy growth for both parties," comments Iwan Gillis-D'Hamers, Managing Director of Euphony Benelux.

"This new agreement builds on the qualitative, trust-based relationship nurtured over several years that we enjoy with Euphony. This cooperation agreement will further reinforce this relationship and, for both parties, create new opportunities to develop their brand", points out Benoit Scheen, Chief Commercial Officer at Mobistar.

Mobile telephony remains an important product for Euphony Belgium. In 2005, 106,118 Mobistar subscriptions were sold to individuals and small companies (the "SOHO" segment), which translates as 20,613 more than in 2004, a figure that represents a growth of almost 20%.

New boost

EuLike-It is launched for only 4 euros per month (16.5 minutes of calling time included), i.e. the lowest starting price on the market for post-paid residential subscriptions. This subscription also offers the customer the possibility of acquiring a second SIM card for the same starting tariff. In addition, EuLike-It also offers a very tight sliding tariff scale: from 24 cents to 11 cents per minute once the calling time included in the package has been used up, with invoicing per second after the first minute, no start up costs and no charge for keeping the same telephone number.

EuLike-It gives a new boost to the post-paid residential subscription market. In fact, this new product meets the profile of a "one size fits all" product. A simple package that is comprehensible and transparent for each individual customer. The residential market represents an important segment for Euphony, and with this product its consultants will be able to improve on the results generated to date.

In addition to EuLike-It, Euphony also continues to sell the Mobistar business products. Past experience has shown that this leads to the best results for the two parties.
