For a greener future Net Zero Carbon

Orange Belgium contributes to the Orange group's target: to become Net Zero Carbon by 2040.

Through concrete actions and expert-validated targets, we are reducing our emissions at all levels for a more responsible future.

Internationally The group’s global commitment

To achieve Net Zero Carbon by 2040, we are committed to:

  • Reducing our own CO2e emissions

  • Cutting indirect emissions linked to our energy consumption

  • Reducing upstream emissions from our suppliers and downstream from our customers

These three commitments correspond to Scopes 1, 2 and 3 of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol for which Orange Group has drawn up a roadmap approved by the SBTi (Science Based Targets Initiative), the international scientific benchmark for assessing corporate climate targets.

With our new Lead The Future strategy, we have set a mid-term milestone for 2030:

  • Contributing to a 45% reduction in CO2 emissions across all scopes for Orange Group compared to 2020

We will continue to reduce our impact to stay on the trajectory validated by the SBTi. Our targets are monitored through performance indicators demonstrating that our commitments are concrete and measurable.

At Orange Belgium, we contribute to Orange Group’s target of being Net Zero Carbon by 2040. To achieve this target, we implement a strict energy efficiency policy, increase our renewable energy consumption and develop our circular economy.
