Brussels, 27 October 2011 – Visual Voice Mail will be available as from October 31 for all new iPhone customers. Mobistar is the first Belgian mobile operator to launch this highly innovative and free new service. Thanks to Visual Voice Mail, Mobistar customers will now have a brand-new way of listening to and managing their voice messages. Between now and mid-November, Visual Voice Mail will be activated automatically and free of charge for all Mobistar customers with an iPhone.
Belgian iPhone users can rejoice: not only will the brand-new iPhone 4S be available in all Mobistar Centers as from October 28, but Mobistar is also the first Belgian mobile operator to launch Visual Voice Mail, a function that revolutionises how you consult your voice messages. Using Visual Voice Mail is childlike in its simplicity: with a single click you access the list of all your messages, over which you then have an entirely tactile control: play, pause, go forward, go back... The scroll bar even makes it possible to listen again to just part of a message. Visual Voice Mail makes managing your voice messages even easier than managing your e-mails.
Visual Voice Mail will be available as from October 31 for all new iPhone customers. The existing customers will follow shortly after. First, all Mobistar customers who have subscribed to an iPhone rate plan will receive an SMS notifying them that Visual Voice Mail will be activated automatically and free of charge on their phone in the coming two days. Once the SMS confirming activation of the service has been received, the only thing that users will have to do is click on the “Voice Mail” icon on their mobile phone to discover all the benefits of Visual Voice Mail. As for other Mobistar customers having an iPhone, they won't have to wait very long, since they will be migrated to Visual Voice Mail only one week later.
Visual Voice Mail is compatible with all iPhone models (subject to having at least version 9.1 of the “carrier settings”), and it is free in Belgium. Abroad, the data traffic generated by Visual Voice Mail is invoiced as normal data roaming. If the customer deactivates the data function when abroad, he will receive the traditional Voice Mail notifications (One Click Voice Mail or SMS).
Curious iPhone users can now find more information on how Visual Voice Mail functions, as well as a short explanatory video, by surfing to m.mobistar.be/vvm or to the Voice Mail pages of the Mobistar site as from October 31.
