Orange Belgium today announces changes to its Executive Committee, further strengthening its leadership team to support the company’s ‘Trust the future’ strategy. As of October 1st, Jeroen Degadt will assume the role of Chief Enterprise Officer. He will succeed Werner De Laet, who will step down from his role after more than 28 years of dedicated service to the company.
After more than 28 years within the Orange Group, Werner De Laet is leaving the company to pursue new professional challenges. After holding several senior finance positions, including Chief Financial Officer of Mobistar from 2006 to 2013, serving as Chief Executive Officer of Orange Luxembourg from 2013 and as Chief Wholesale & Innovation Officer of Orange Belgium from 2016 onwards, Werner has played a key role as Orange Belgium’s Chief Enterprise Officer since 2019, leading the company’s enterprise business and driving the development of solutions and services for business and institutional customers.
Effective October 1st, Jeroen Degadt will succeed him within Orange Belgium’s Executive Committee. Holding a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from the Katholieke Hogeschool Sint-Lieven in Ghent and a Master's degree in Applied Economics from the Ghent University, Jeroen has nearly 22 years of experience in the Belgian telecommunications sector. He is a seasoned executive who built much of his career during an 18-year tenure at Belgacom/Proximus, where he held key management roles across strategy, product development, and operational leadership. In July 2023, he was appointed General Manager of DIGI Belgium. He stepped down from his leadership position at DIGI in June 2026.
