Werner De Laet is already the CEO ad interim of Orange Luxembourg since January 2013. “Very soon after taking this temporarily role I discovered the entrepreneurial spirit of the 150 team members of Orange Luxembourg. Leading this team in realizing its ambitions and re-enforcing the company’s image of an innovator in the Luxembourg telecommunication market was an easy decision”, states Werner De Laet.
“It was clear for the boards of directors of Orange Luxembourg and of the Mobistar group that Werner would be the ideal candidate to lead Orange Luxembourg and to accelerate its growth within the overall strategy of the Mobistar group. For its personal development, it is also the right move to make”, says Jean Marc Harion, CEO of the Mobistar group and president of the board of directors of Orange Luxembourg.
Werner De Laet will take office as CEO of Orange Luxembourg as from May 15th 2013. He will continue as Chief Financial Officer of the Mobistar Group until the next General Assembly of shareholders takes place on May 2nd 2013. Until then, he will also continue to manage Orange Luxembourg as CEO ad interim. The selection process for his successor as CFO of the Mobistar group is currently ongoing. As CEO of Orange Luxembourg, Werner De Laet will continue to be part of the Executive Committee of the Mobistar group. As such, he will fully support the execution of the ‘SuperMobile’ strategy of the group.
Werner De Laet joined Mobistar 15 years ago and was CFO of the company over the last 7 years. Without losing sight of the long term vision, he succeeded in safeguarding as much as possible the shareholders’ value. Supported by a strong team of financial experts, he showed a transparent, reliable and committed leadership, including close contact with the investors relations community.
