Werner De Laet began his career in finance at Arthur Andersen, where he gained experience in the financial control of companies, notably in the telecommunications sector. Five years later Werner moved to SIPEF, an agro-industrial group where he managed the information system and the financial control. In 1998, Werner joined Mobistar as Financial Information Systems Manager and rapidly rose in the ranks to become Business Unit Finance Manager. In 2001, he was appointed Head of Business Controlling. From 2006 to 2013, Werner De Laet was the Chief Financial Officer of Mobistar before becoming the CEO of Orange Luxembourg in May 2013. Since October 2016 Werner De Laet is also Chief Wholesale & Innovation Officer of Orange Belgium, which puts him in charge of managing the Wholesale activities as well as the innovation centre, in close coordination with the Orange Group.
