This holiday Orange is installing the world's largest claw machine to hand out extra presents

Between 9th and 30th December 2017, Orange Belgium is handing out presents on the Meir in Antwerp with the world's largest claw machine. There are hundreds of prizes to be won: from high-end smartphones and smartwatches to drones and Bongo gift vouchers. Everyone who buys a phone or signs a mobile subscription in the Orange shop (Meir 10, 2000 Antwerp) can have a go with the gigantic claw arm to try and bag an extra gift.

Orange customers will enjoy loads more #ChristmasFever this festive season

The claw machine is 18 metres long, 7 metres high and is controlled remotely. Players steer the claw arm from left to right, from above to below, and try to close the claw at the right moment. If a player manages to grab a present, he or she will get a number to enter onto a display, which starts a countdown on the big screen. At the end of the countdown, the screen reveals what prize the lucky winner will take home.

Last year, Orange kicked off the festive season with a gigantic roll of wrapping paper attached to Antwerp Tower. Thousands of shoppers used the specially designed wrapping paper to wrap presents to their heart's content. This year, once again, no expense or effort is being spared to start the festive season with a bang and give Orange customers the chance to surprise their nearest and dearest with an extra gift.

Pop Media is taking care of the claw machine, which is a hefty piece of inventiveness and technical ingenuity. The whole machine will be put up in just two days.

The Orange claw machine is dishing out presents from 9th to 30th December, on Saturdays (from 12 noon till 6pm) and Sundays (from 12 noon till 5pm).
