Brussels, 15 November 2011 – The many advantages of internet banking are well-known. People can carry out their transactions when or from where they like and, and in complete security. An online invoice is neither printed nor sent, but appears directly in clients’ banking applications via Zoomit. Mobistar is mounting an email campaign to advise its customers to change to online invoices. As well as the security and control this method offers, they are also contributing to a greener environment. This strategy perfectly fits one of the aims in Mobistar’s sustainable development plan: to reduce their carbon footprint by 50 % in the next 10 years.
Pioneering role
Via 12 banks, 3,500,000 people can now receive their invoices online from no less than 45 different companies via Zoomit, a free service which is integrated with internet banking applications. Each month, Zoomit is gaining around 15,000 new users, who now manage their financial operations themselves using the secure system with payment reminders by SMS and email.
By encouraging its customers to manage and pay their invoice online via Zoomit, Mobistar confirms its ambition to play a pioneering role in sustainable development. Mobistar is supporting a project of reforestation, ‘save the trees’, in Peru since 2008. ‘More information about this is available at www.mobistar.be/savethetrees .
100 % Control
Every Mobistar customer receives their invoice directly into to their pc-banking module.
