Orange Belgium has launched its SaferPhone Pack; a complete and responsible solution designed for families navigating a child’s first smartphone. The pack combines an age adapted mobile plan, parental-control tools and an educational platform, helping parents guide their children safely and confidently into the digital world. With this launch, Orange strengthens its role in supporting digital wellbeing and reinforces its ambition to build good connections for families across Belgium.
Supporting a key life moment
A child’s first smartphone is a milestone that often comes with questions: Is my child ready? How do I keep control? How do I avoid financial surprises? The SaferPhone Pack answers these concerns with a structured, safe and affordable approach. It turns a moment of uncertainty into a positive experience by combining peace of mind for parents, supervised autonomy for the child and responsible digital habits from day one.
The SaferPhone Pack in detail
- Mobile Child Plan: A €5/month mobile plan tailored for children, including 3 GB data, 150 call minutes and unlimited SMS. No out of bundle charges, no roaming, and automatic blocking of extra charged services. The plan also includes Mobile Serenity, a first level of protection on Orange network that helps children navigate the internet more safely. It blocks malicious, violent, gaming and adult sites.
- Smartphone Pass: An online digital maturity test that helps parents assess readiness for a first smartphone. Through short, age adapted quizzes, children learn key digital basics: screen time balance, privacy, online safety, cyberbullying awareness and responsible social media behavior.
- SafePath.Connect: A parental control app offered free for 12 months, enabling content filtering, daily time limits, app specific restrictions, real time location and an emergency button. It supports families in setting healthy digital boundaries.
- Smartphones at an attractive price: A curated selection of devices available in Orange shops, allowing families to choose a suitable first smartphone while receiving practical guidance from Orange advisors.
Promoting responsible digital usage
The SaferPhone Pack is built to reduce digital risks such as inappropriate content and excessive internet time connection.
