Brussels, 7 June 2010 – Tellink and Mobistar are announcing their partnership agreement today. Tellink is switching to Mobistar for its mobile telecommunication services. The Antwerp telecom company is going for an MVNO contract with Mobistar because of its excellent voice and data network and the many roaming agreements Mobistar has as a member of the France Télécom group. Thanks to this partnership, Mobistar can increase its market share in the SME segment.
Tellink, a Belgian company supplying telecommunication services to companies active in the SME segment, is concluding a MVNO agreement with Mobistar. From July, Tellink will offer national mobile voice and data services via the excellent Mobistar mobile broadband network. Tellink's 65,000 active SIM cards will be transferred to the Mobistar network from July. The transfer of all Tellink cards should be complete by the end of September. The continuity of service to all Tellink customers is assured during this transfer. All Tellink customers keep their mobile numbers.
As a member of the France Télécom group, Mobistar has many roaming agreements with foreign operators. Tellink will use these agreements to offer unique Traveller services that enable customers to call from abroad at rates that are up to 80% cheaper.
The MVNO agreement with Tellink corresponds to Mobistar's strategy to reach specific segments via specialised partners to increase its market share in a competitive environment. The MVNO contract with Tellink was concluded for a 3-year period.
