Partnership with Telenet
Telenet and Orange announced their cooperation agreement in February 2006. This partnership enables the two operators to expand their commercial offers. Telenet decided firstly to develop its own mobile telephony offer, based on Orange´s infrastructure and expertise. Secondly, this agreement bore on the use of Telenet´s WiFi network, given that these WiFi hotspots open up interesting prospects for convergence within the framework of the « mobile data » activities developed by Orange and based on the EDGE and UMTS technologies. In April 2012, the cooperation between Orange and Telenet has been extended with a duration of 5 years. Telenet is now a full MVNO. This means it treats most of its activities, except the radio network.
Partnership with Lycamobile
In April 2007, a new agreement was signed with Lycamobile, Lycatel´s pioneer brand with regard to international traffic for mobile telephony. The company Lycatel has more than 9 million pan-European users who generate more than 1.9 billion minutes of voice traffic per month. European leader in the market of prepaid telephone cards for international telecommunications, Lycamobile focuses primarily on foreigners living in Belgium who wish to communicate with friends and family in their country of origin. By using the Orange network, Lycamobile proposes a specific offer which is tailored to this target group via more than 1,000 points of sale in Belgium. In 2012, the cooperation with Orange has been extended for a duration of 3 years, and since 2013, Lycamobile is also a full MVNO.
Partnership with Transatel
In November 2007, Orange also concluded a partnership agreement with the French company Transatel. The Transatel target groups are mainly international audiences that generate a lot of cross-border traffic. Transatel delivers both mobile telephony services and MVNE support (Mobile Virtual Network Enabler), allowing MVNO´s to launch their own activities as a mobile operator.
Partnership with Tellink
On June 7, 2010, Tellink and Orange announced their MVNO contract. Tellink is a Belgian company located in Antwerp supplying telecommunication services to companies active in the SME segment. Tellink uses our roaming agreements to offer unique Traveller services that enable customers to call cheaper from abroad. Tellink has prepaid and post-paid tariffs.
Partnership with Galaxy
Since 2013, Orange launched a new MVNO agreement with Galaxy Mobile Solutions, a dutch company which extended its activities to Belgium. They are aiming at providing tailor-made solutions for SME customers and independents. The MVNO agreement with Galaxy has room for further growth.
