Today Orange Belgium is launching ZEN. With a ZEN mobile subscription customers enjoy a fixed bundle of mobile data, call minutes and unlimited texts and remain in full control of their budget.

The 2 ZEN subscriptions Hummingbird and Dolphin contain a generous amount of call minutes, unlimited texts and a good amount of mobile data volume. Thanks to ZEN, the customer has full control of his monthly budget as overspend (out-of-bundle expenses with regard to call minutes and mobile data) is not possible.

In its first TV Barometer, Orange Belgium surveyed 1,400 customers about their television behaviour. The telecom operator found that in the present digital era Belgians still watch television en masse, be it more often nowadays with a smartphone at the ready or with a laptop to give comments on a programme, increasingly more on social media. They prefer to be cosy and warm under a blanket, zapping and nibbling their way through the programme offer. They prefer savoury snacks to healthy snacks. Water does better than soft drinks, beer or wine.

Today Orange and Ingenico Payment Services announce the launch of ‘Orange Pro Payment’, a mobile payment solution for professionals and other business customers.

‘Orange Pro Payment’ is a mobile payment solution that enables professionals to accept payment cards (Visa, MasterCard, Maestro) via a secure card reader connected to a smartphone or tablet via a bluetooth connection. The payment terminal together with the application acts as a mobile cashier that makes the payment immediate.

Year on year Orange sees the number of SMS and calls declining when people wish their loved ones a merry Christmas and a happy new year. Customers prefer to communicate via their social media channels via funny pictures and party movies to let friends and family know what they have for dinner, the presents they receive and where they celebrate. Last week Orange noted an increase of 60% of mobile data usage (vs last year during Christmas eve). Last year mobile data went up with 165% (vs the year before) on December 31 2015, just before 2016 started.
