Brussels, 9 June 2006 - On 15 June 2006, Mobistar will launch Traveller Advantage, a new roaming bundle allowing customers to benefit from price reductions up to 28% on calls abroad. In addition, Mobistar forwards unanswered calls abroad to the Voice Mail service in Belgium at no charge, resulting in significant extra cost savings for customers on their roaming invoice. These new initiatives fit well in Mobistar's ongoing efforts to reduce and simplify the roaming tariffs.

Mobistar introduces the Traveller Advantage roaming bundles, a package of benefits for calls abroad for residential and professional postpaid customers. The private customers, independents and the free professions will benefit from a price-reduction of 25% thanks to the roaming bundle. They pay € 20 per month for the bundle and receive a call credit of € 26.70 (the number of equivalent calling minutes depends on the zone that they call from) and 10 free calling minutes for incoming calls when abroad, regardless of the zone. This will enable customers to better control their costs when abroad. Traveller Advantage can be activated on the Mobistar website or via customer service.

For the business market, Mobistar has also developed roaming bundles: 3 Traveller Advantage bundles to meet the needs of the professional customers. Traveller Advantage delivers price reductions of 28% for them.

  • Traveller Advantage 85€ : customers pay € 85 per month for the bundle and receive € 118.10 in call credit and 30 minutes of free incoming calls when abroad.
  •

  • Traveller Advantage 35€ : customers pay € 35 per month for the bundle and receive € 48.60 in call credit and 15 minutes of free incoming calls when abroad.
  •

  • Traveller Advantage 15€ customers pay € 15 per month for the bundle and receive € 20.80 in call credit and 10 minutes of free incoming calls when abroad.

With Free Voice Mail Deposit worldwide, Mobistar has even more good news for her customers. Since 1 June, receiving a Voice Mail message when abroad is completely free of charge for the client when unavailable or busy. Not only do customers save on their roaming invoice, but they are no longer required to leave their mobile phones at home or to switch them off to save mobile calling costs. Thanks to this service, customers are easier to reach when abroad, have better control over their mobile phone use and are able to keep their costs under control.

"Roaming is a complex subject," according to Chris Van Roey, Chief Communications Officer from Mobistar. "For several years, we have been trying to simplify roaming tariffs and to make the system more transparent for our customers. In 2004, we divided the world into five zones, with a flat tariff applicable per zone, regardless of which operator our customers use to call when abroad. In June 2005, we also made calling customers service from abroad free of charge. All Mobistar postpaid customers can call the number 5000 (prepaid customers call 5100) to inquire about the roaming tariffs. The introduction of the Traveller Advantage roaming bundles and Free Voice Mail Deposit is a new step in that process, giving the customers better control over their expenditures and giving them low rates. Receiving calls is free within your bundle and if you are unavailable, the caller can leave a Voice Mail at no charge thanks to Free Voice Mail Deposit." Van Roey says.
