The board of directors of Mobistar has decided to create a new post within the company’s management structure. Cristina Zanchi joins the Mobistar executive committee as Chief Customer Loyalty Officer. Her mission will be to further strengthen the links between Mobistar and its more than 4 million customers. Things are obviously going well at Mobistar. Not only has the company just broken the symbolic barrier of 4 million mobile phone customers, but the launch of the Mobistar Digital TV offer on 8th October means it has also become the first Belgian operator to offer “sextuple play”: mobile and fixed line telephony, mobile and fixed line Internet, mobile and fixed line television.
But it is not only at the level of technology that Mobistar aims to be the most innovative provider on the Belgian market. At the level of customer experience Mobistar also wants to distinguish itself from the competition by delivering “best in class” services. That is why Mobistar has decided to create the new post of Chief Customer Loyalty Officer in order to be even more receptive to its customers and responsive to their needs.
Of Italian nationality, Cristina Zanchi has extensive experience in the fields of customer loyalty and customer relationship management, two sectors she has led with equal distinction at Air France-KLM and at Shell. A Graduate of the University of Milan, where she obtained a Masters Degree in Economics and Law of the European Communities, Cristina Zanchi also trained in management at the London Business School. She began her career at KLM in 1989. Having worked in countries including Italy, Israel, Turkey, Greece and the Netherlands, she became Head of Loyalty & CRM at the Air France-KLM group in 2002, then joined Shell in 2006, where until leaving for Mobistar she held the post of Head of Marketing & Strategy – Payment & Loyalty.
Based in Amsterdam for several years now, Cristina Zanchi speaks Dutch very well. A dynamic manager with a very international profile, she also speaks English, Italian and French. “Coming from outside the telecoms market, Cristina will bring fresh ideas to our sector”, says delighted Mobistar CEO Benoît Scheen.
“With her input, all departments at Mobistar will focus even more on the customer. Cristina’s recruitment fits perfectly with our long term strategy of developing a close and valued relationship with all our customers.”
