Mobistar is launching 'Business Everywhere', an integrated mobile solution that allows high-speed access via the 3G, EDGE, WiFi and ADSL networks.

Mobistar will be one of the first operators in the world to roll out the HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) technology throughout its 3G network. The solution makes it possible to at least triple the transmission speed of the current 3G (UMTS) and reach a maximal real speed of about 1.8 Mb/s, comparable to ADSL experience.

Mobistar has unveiled the content of its new tariff plans. Prompted by the results of an in-depth study into the expectations of its customers, the operator has completely renewed its offer and has come up with a simplified range of seven tariffs that meet the demands for simplicity, competitiveness and transparency clearly expressed by the users.

Mobistar is launching the first mobile application Web portal especially dedicated to SME. The applications selected by the Orange Group and Mobistar among specialized providers allow the company's employees to carry out everyday operations using their mobile telephone or their pocket computer.

As from the 1st of February of this year, Mobistar is launching the cheapest subscription on the market, which the user is free to cancel at all times, without additional cost.

Mobistar and Universal Music Mobile Belgium come up with a new concept that merges mobile telephony, music and multimedia. Tempo Music, which will be up and running as from the 1st of February, consists of a rechargeable prepaid mobile telephony card, a WEB/WAP music portal, a radio station and a whole range of music and entertainment-related innovations.

Mobistar is launching a low cost prepaid mobile telephony offer, only available via Internet, under its own brand name. "Basic by Mobistar" users can make calls to all the national networks, both fixed and mobile, for the fixed price per minute of € 0.19 and don't pay any connection cost. SMS are charged at € 0.10 per SMS.

In accordance to its announcement in the beginning of the year, Mobistar launches a complete range of ADSL services based on three specific offers: "Mobistar ADSL", "Mobistar ADSL Connect" and very soon "Mobistar ADSL Talk". From now on, users have the possibility to do without a fixed-line telephone subscription or gain access to unlimited fixed line calling.

Mobistar is today launching a pilot TV on Mobile project after signing a contract with Belgian Business Television, producer of the Canal Z and Kanaal Z programmes. Users also have the possibility of downloading video flashes containing national, international, sports, cultural and offbeat news items.
