Today, Mobistar publishes its results for the first quarter of 2011. Mobistar is pursuing its convergence strategy.

After launching in Austria, Switzerland, Hungary and South Africa, Red Bull MOBILE is today initiating its commercial activities in Belgium.

On the occasion of International Women´s Day, this Tuesday March 8th, Mobistar unveils certain differences between men and women with regard to mobile telephony. The main finding is that women spend more time on the phone, and send a larger number of text messages. They also have a stronger emotional connection with their mobile operator. On the other hand, fewer of them surf on their mobile phones, and they are also less fond of smartphones than men.

Mobistar is expanding its range of mobile phones with the Doro PhoneEasy® a mobile phone specially developed for seniors and their particular needs.

The financial and telecom sector together will launch a new standard product for mobile payments in 2011

Today, Mobistar publishes its results for the financial year 2010. The Mobistar group continued its growth in Belgium and Luxembourg and will further strengthen its position as a convergent telecom player on both the residential and the business markets. Despite an unfavorable regulatory context, the Mobistar group achieved an increased turnover and exceeded its own forecasts for the full financial year 2010. These results allow Mobistar to pay out a dividend for a total amount of 258.1 million euros, or 4.30 euros per share.
