Brussels, 11th June 2014 – Mobistar commits to protecting children using mobile internet with a dedicated programme and the offer of a parental control application in partnership with Symantec and its Norton Family solution. These actions provide parents with the necessary information and tools for stimulating dialogue with their children and protecting them when they are browsing the internet on their smartphones. Through these actions Mobistar is contributing to the European Commission’s aim to create a safer internet environment for children.

Brussels, 23 May 2014 – Mobistar has announced today that from 2 June 2014, all its customers will receive full warranty on all devices (including iPhones and iPads) purchased at the @Mobistar and online shops during the second year. Mobistar made this decision to meet the expectations of its customers and the consumer organisations, even though Mobistar has always been compliant with the warranty laws in the past. It is Mobistar’s opinion that its customers should not be penalised by the fact that some manufacturers apply the law very strictly and charge the customers or operators for the statutory warranty during the second year. In its commitment to provide the best customer service, Mobistar wants to make this additional gesture to all customers of the @Mobistar and online shops from 2 June.

Brussels, 13 December 2013 – Yesterday, the Conference of Electronic Communications Sector Regulators (CRC) published its decisions on the quantitative aspects of the cable regulation in Belgium, after it had already published its decisions on the qualitative aspects early September. This step completes, after three years, the regulatory framework for the delivery of broadcasting signals and access to broadcast networks in Belgium through cable networks. The wholesale cable regulation now enters into its implementation phase. Mobistar reconfirms its intention to move forward with the effective implementation of the cable regulation to market TV and fixed broadband services to Belgium consumers.

The results of the ambitious homeworking policy being implemented by Mobistar are encouraging. According to calculations performed by the company CO2logic, homeworking for Mobistar, whether done on an occasional or regular basis, makes it possible to eliminate around 400 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year. Vanaf nu hoeven Internet On Mobile-klanten niet meer naar de website van Mobistar te surfen om hun kaart te herladen.  Ze kunnen gewoon op Facebook blijven en herladen op de Facebook pagina ‘Mobistar België’. Eenvoudiger kan het niet.
