All the magic of Cannes in your living room, thanks to the “TV Festival de Cannes” channel. For the second year in a row, Belgian television viewers with a Mobistar Digital TV subscription can enjoy the behind-the-scenes action at the Cannes Festival 24 hours a day just like they were right there on the Croisette! Mobistar Digital TV subscribers will get front row seats to encourage the five Belgian actors taking part in the competition: Matthias Schoenaerts, Benoit Poelvoorde, Bouli Lanners, Emilie Dequenne and Jérémie Renier.
 

Mobistar and Telenet today announced the extension of their strategic partnership. Both parties will continue the Full MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) agreement until 2017. With this contract, Telenet can expand their offer for mobile voice and data further by making use of Mobistar’s mobile network. Through a partnership with Telenet, Tecteo (VOO) will also be able to make use of this Full MVNO agreement to provide mobile services for their permanent clients.

Brussels, 8 September 2011 – This month, Mobistar begins upgrading its mobile network. The company will be investing a total of 36 million euros to install higher-performance and more economical equipment throughout its network over the next two years. This will generate significant benefits not only for customers, who will enjoy better indoor coverage, but also for the environment, thanks to a fifty percent reduction in energy consumption. And the icing on the cake: this investment will prepare Mobistar for the arrival of LTE technology.
