Orange Belgium participates in Fluvius’ fibre pilot project in Flanders

Orange Belgium welcomes the ambition of Fluvius to roll out open optical fibre with passive access. In 2019 a pilot will start in 5 cities and municipalities (where the city of Genk will be first in line to be connected) aiming to connect 15.000 households.

Orange Belgium's Board of Directors has validated the nomination of Werner De Laet as Chief B2B, Wholesale and Innovation Officer, starting January 1st, 2019.

Gathering B2B, Wholesale and Innovation activities under one single management will allow to simplify Orange Belgium’s organisation and to support the strategic priorities for the enterprise market, in particular the further development of convergent and ICT services, as well as the development of Internet of Things. The new organisation will be put in place as from January 1st.

Ingrid Gonnissen, Chief Enterprise Officer at Orange Belgium and ‘ICT Woman of the Year 2018’, kicks off a Young Potential Boost Camp to support young female potentials in the ICT world.

The Young Potential Boost Camp is a mentorship programme designed to provide engaging, informative experiences and activities that will speed young female potentials on their way to a successful career in ICT.

The Start- and Scale-ups Chatlayer, iReachm and Thingsplay are officially selected to enter the second Orange Fab BeLux season

Orange Fab, Orange’s exclusive international accelerator network, kicked off its second edition in Belgium and Luxembourg this September. 45 start-ups and scale-ups submitted an application to participate. On October 1st, 10 start-ups presented their innovative products and services to a jury of professionals. Chatlayer, iReachm and Thingsplay were selected to officially participate in this second season of Orange Fab BeLux.

Orange Belgium and KANAL – Centre Pompidou join forces to build THE multidisciplinary art hub of the future

Orange Belgium announces it has signed a partnership with KANAL – Centre Pompidou, the brand new museum of Modern and Contemporary art in the iconic Citroën garage in Brussels. In the presence of Didier Gosuin, Minister of Economy and Employment of the Brussels-Capital Region, and Stéphane Richard, Chairman and CEO of the Orange Group, the agreement was signed by Michaël Trabbia, CEO of Orange Belgium, Yves Goldstein, Director at KANAL Foundation and Denis Laoureux, Deputy chairman of the KANAL Foundation board.

Orange Belgium is the first to present real 5G use case demos in Belgium

Today Orange Belgium was the first to present a set of real use cases that rely on the much anticipated 5G technology. In Liège, in the presence of CEO of the Orange Group, Stéphane Richard, Orange Belgium teamed up with Nokia to demonstrate the potential and future applications of  5G. Orange Belgium confirms its ambition to deploy the 5G technology as soon as possible for its residential and business customers.

Orange Belgium invites scale-ups from Belgium and Luxembourg to enter second Orange Fab season and grow their business

Orange Fab, Orange’s exclusive international accelerator network, kicks off its second edition in Belgium and Luxembourg. Scale-ups from all over Belgium and Luxembourg can submit an application to participate. The main objectives are to create a commercial acceleration between the scale-ups and the Business Units of Orange Belgium and Luxembourg and to help them grow thanks to Orange’s worldwide footprint.  In September, the selected scale-ups will present their innovative products and services to a jury of professionals.

Orange Belgium welcomes the final decision of the regulators to stimulate the competition on the fixed internet and TV market

Referring to the now final decision of the regulators regarding the TV and broadband market analysis, Orange Belgium welcomes the measures put forward to strengthen the competition on the fixed telecom markets in the interest of the consumers. The future financial conditions mark an important step towards a sustainable internet and TV offer, with the possibility to launch an internet only offer over time. Also, the operational improvements that are imposed will enhance the experience of the Orange internet & TV customers.
