Thanks to continuous investments of Orange Belgium in its mobile network, Orange customers can now enjoy a continuous, fast and reliable 4G-connection in the entire Brussels metro area.
Thanks to a collaboration with the STIB-MIVB, Orange Belgium makes 4G available on all metro lines and stations. As from now, all Orange customers can benefit from a comprehensive high speed mobile internet experience. Not only when they are in the metro stations but also from within the carriages during their journey.
After the successful implementation of prepaid identification in all Orange-owned shops and on the Orange website in 2016, Orange now starts the roll-out of a new identification process in 1.700 Orange prepaid card point of sales. This innovative process efficiently identifies and registers new and existing prepaid customers in a few seconds.

Orange Belgium acknowledges the decision of Lycamobile Belgium Limited (“Lycamobile”) to acquire Telenet’s MVNO subsidiary Ortel Mobile NV ("Ortel Mobile"). Linked to this acquisition Lycamobile signed a full MVNO deal with Telenet on the BASE network.

Anticipating the introduction of the Royal Decree that foresees the identification of prepaid mobile customers, Orange is announcing the roll-out today of its prepaid identification process for all new and existing customers at national level in all Orange shops and on its website www.orange.be/fr/identification & www.orange.be/nl/identificatie. As of today, new prepaid customers can register voluntarily when purchasing a prepaid SIM card in an Orange shop.
At the behest of Michaël Trabbia, CEO of Orange Belgium, the Board of Directors has approved the company’s new Executive Committee. The new structure is designed to support company strategy, in which customer experience is the key priority.
