Brussels, 27 February 2015 - Mobistar welcomes the judgment of the Court of Appeal in legal proceedings that it conducted together with the Base/KPN Group against Proximus concerning abusive pricing practices in the late 90s - early 2000s. The judgment confirms that Proximus held a dominant position on the market for mobile telephony and might have abused this position.

De Mobistar-klanten verstuurden ook 21,3 miljoen sms’jes. Mobistar was goed voorbereid op deze piek van het netwerkgebruik. Er deden zich dan ook geen technische problemen voor.
Brussels, 24th December - Mobistar has decided not to extend its partnership, which expired at the end of December 2014, with the advertising communication agency mortierbrigade, and entrusts the further development of its commercial brand to Publicis.
Brussels, 17 December 2014 - Mobistar commences operational testing of its internet & digital TV services on cable. The first users will be recruited among Mobistar customers in the Charleroi borough. The test zone will progressively be extended to other cities. Commercial launch date will be defined once operational and internet and TV services wholesale price conditions will have been improved by the regulators to allow new entrants to enter the market in a profitable way and in benefit of the consumer.
Brussels, December 4th 2014. At its M2M event in Brussels, Mobistar today announced that it has already connected more than 1 million machines or objects – ranging from drinks vending machines to vehicles – using SIM cards. This makes Mobistar the market leader in Belgium in connecting machines. About 55 % of those SIM cards are installed in machines that are used in Belgium. The added value to the Belgian economy created through the whole ecosystem (hardware, software, modems and supporting services) is estimated at 275 million euro.
Brussels, 12 November 2014 - Mobistar welcomes the decision of the Court of Appeal of Brussels ending the procedure initiated by Telenet, contesting the regulation of the opening of the cable market, by rejecting their arguments. This positive decision paves the way for further introduction of the regulation of the cable networks in Belgium and enables Mobistar to continue preparing for the launch of its TV and internet services on the cable.
Brussels, 31 October 2014. As of November, Taxis Verts offers free Internet in 50 taxis in the Brussels Region. Passengers have access to the Internet via Mobistar’s 4G network, which has 99% coverage in Brussels, thanks to a SIM card placed in the taxi. With this Belgian première, taxis are transformed into a true “mobile office” in which passengers can use the time they spend in the taxi in the most efficient way. During the ride, which takes an average of 20 min. in the Capital of Europe, flexible workers can set up a videoconference, update their schedule and consult online documents. Even more, they can charge their mobile devices via a charging station.
